What stays on your device

Everything you log lives only in PlateCalm’s private storage on this device: your medication label and dose dates, dose changes, symptoms and severity, meals and food tags, menu scans, protein/hydration/fiber logs, optional weight, personal notes, your goals, and the patterns PlateCalm calculates for you. None of this is uploaded to us.

What may leave your device

We try to be honest about every byte that can leave:

• Purchase status. When you subscribe, Apple and our payments provider (RevenueCat) process an anonymous identifier and your subscription state so we can unlock Pro. No health data is attached.
• Reports you share. When you export a doctor-ready PDF or CSV, it leaves only through the iOS share sheet to the destination you choose — you are always in control.

That’s it. PlateCalm has no analytics, no usage tracking, and no cloud sync — your logs never leave this device on their own.

What we never collect

No advertising identifiers, no ad networks, and no tracking across other apps or websites. We do not sell or share your information with data brokers, and we do not ask for an account, contacts, or precise location.

Your controls

You can edit or delete any entry at any time, and erase everything from Settings. You can turn on a Face ID / passcode app lock to keep your log private on this device. Export and deletion are always available to you.

Hide preview when switching apps

Covers your log with the PlateCalm logo in the app switcher, so a glance at your screen never shows doses or symptoms. On by default.

Keep menu text after a scan

Menu Lens saves the menu you pasted alongside its results. Turn this off to keep only the results — useful if a menu names where you were. On by default.

Third-party services

Our only third-party SDK is RevenueCat, used solely to manage subscriptions and validate your Pro entitlement with the App Store. It receives an anonymous app user ID and purchase state — never your health logs. Apple processes the payment itself.

This website

This site sets no cookies, runs no analytics, and embeds no trackers. Its fonts are served from this domain rather than a font host, so visiting it tells no third party that you were here. There is no form to fill in and nothing to log in to.

Our host serves the pages and, like any web server, records standard request data such as your IP address and browser type for a short period in order to deliver the site and defend against abuse. We do not use that data to identify you and we never connect it to anything in the app — the app has no account and sends us nothing, so there is nothing to connect it to.

Children

PlateCalm is intended for adults managing their own care and is not directed at children under 13. We do not knowingly collect information from children.

Changes to this policy

If this policy changes in a meaningful way, we will update the effective date below and surface the change in the app before it takes effect.
